Episode details

Available for over a year
A decision to switch off 44,000 street lights across Surrey is "short-sighted" and will leave students "in danger", according to the University of Surrey. The county council said it was a "tough decision" which should save £210,000 a year but would "not compromise the safety of our residents". Street lights will go dark from midnight to 05:00 on some roads in Guildford, Waverley and Surrey Heath from December. Those in other Surrey boroughs and districts are to be switched off at night from January and February.
