The first in a series of technology lectures - part of the Reith Lectures 2005. The title of the the lecture is 'Technology will Determine the Future of the Human Race' looks at our definition of technology; did it start with mankind's invention of the stone knife? Is technology now sidelined or undervalued? The lecture series is given by Lord Broers, president of the Royal Academy of Engineering and chairman of the House of Lords Science and Technology Committee.
