Bells on Sunday

Available for over a year

Bells on Sunday comes from All Saints church in Little Cornard, Suffolk. Dating from the 14th and 15th century the flint and brick church is located on a hill overlooking the village. It has six bells from five different foundries the oldest of which dates to circa 1399 and was made in Kings Lynn by an unknown founder. The tenor weighs eight and a quarter hundredweight and is tuned to the note of A. We hear them ringing Call Changes where one of the ringers, the conductor, calls out for pairs of bells to swap positions within the sequence.
