Prayer for the Day

Available for 28 days

Prayer for the Day presented by Rumbi Tauro. Good morning, After a long winter in the north, there’s something special about stepping outside early again. The light returns gently in the early morning and everything feels like it’s beginning to wake up. Manchester feels different too. Where it was once grey and cloudy (of course we still have the occasional spells) but overall it’s a pleasant vibe within the city. There’s movement and a pleasant bustle within each corner. It’s the kind of moment you want to hold onto, though it rarely translates fully in a photograph. There’s more to it than what you can capture: the atmosphere, the stillness, the sense of something deeper going on. And maybe that’s true of people as well. When we take time to really notice one another, beyond the surface, there’s a depth there, a kind of beauty that isn’t always obvious at first glance. It speaks to what Jesus taught about loving God with all our soul: a way of seeing that goes deeper, that recognises something sacred in the everyday. So, stepping into a new day becomes more than routine. It’s an invitation: to pay attention, to be present, and to recognise that deeper beauty in the world around us, and in each other. Dear God, Help me to notice what I might otherwise overlook. To see with depth, and to recognise the quiet beauty around me. And to remain grounded in You through each new day. Amen.
