Jason Mohammad takes your calls on the Middle East conflict, council tax and sending letters.
The Phone InAvailable for 26 days
Jason Mohammad with Wednesday's Phone In... It’s been a dramatic 24 hours in global politics. Iran and the United States have agreed to a conditional two week ceasefire, and the opening of the Hormuz strait. That’s after President Trump threatened yesterday that "a whole civilization” would “die” last night, had Iran not reopened the Strait of Hormuz. Trump hailed it “a big day for world peace” after the deal was agreed last night. What’s your reaction to the events in the Middle East? Would you scrap council tax? We’re continuing our coverage of all the manifestos of the six main parties in the upcoming Senedd Election. Yesterday, the Green Party released their manifesto – containing a commitment to scrap council tax payments. They intend to replace council tax with a Land Value Tax. This would mean more valuable properties will pay more, and landowners will pay the tax – not tenants. So what do you make of the idea? And do you still send letters? The price of a first class stamp has risen to £1.80. Maybe you still have a pen pal, or send love letters to your other half. Or have you firmly ditched pen and paper for a keyboard? Get in touch with the show. Call or WhatsApp 03700 100 110 or Text 8 10 12. Be part of the nations' conversation.
