A celebration of the 1970s, with our BBC Sing! Community Choir in Newry. BBC Sing! 2026 has taken the music on the road, with four special programmes across Northern Ireland. Choirs, singing groups, and solo voices have come together in four special venues, each celebrating the power of community and song. Join us, as we hear the BBC Sing! Community Choir in Newry, come together to celebrate the 1970s, performing well known music from the decade, conducted by Michael Harris. Plus a special guest performance from artist Niamh Kavanagh, a performance from featured choir Cantabile, an insight into the 1970s from our own choir members, nostalgic memories shared and much more.
