Guy looks back at the Manchester music scene of the late 90s and early 2000s, which revolved around the chippy-turned-music venue the Night and Day Cafe. He'll be speaking to Ben Smithson, who now runs the venue, Jay Taylor who used to book the bands and Pete Jobson of I Am Kloot which effectively formed there. We'll also be hearing some of the bands that played there including Doves, Badly Drawn Boy and Jane Weaver. Elsewhere there's a missive from the mountains from Simon Armitage and the Beckapedia remembers a bit of groundbreaking Mancunian TV history. Produced in Salford by BBC Audio for BBC Radio 6 Music.
