Written prescription fees from vets will be capped at £21 and practices will have to publish price lists for services, in new reforms that will come into force later this year. The Competition and Markets Authority also said a price comparison website will be introduced to help boost competition and drive down prices faced by pet owners. The measures come after an in-depth investigation by the watchdog, which found prices had been rising at nearly twice the rate of inflation. What are your experiences of vet bills? A London pub has banned children after behaviour deteriorated to the point where staff say they had no other option. The Kenton in Hackney said late last year that it would consider going child-free, and after continued incidents decided that they had no other option. The pub’s owner, Egil Johansen, said that ‘many customers value a calm, relaxed pub where they can talk without fear of disruption.’ Should children be allowed in pubs? Or do you prefer a pint in peace? And what’s the biggest secret you’ve ever had to keep? According to a recent Yougov poll, 91% of us believe we’re good at keeping other people’s secrets. Are you?
