The BBC Sounds app does not have an alarm clock built in. We decided not to bring this feature to the BBC Sounds app as app alarms are difficult to make reliable and we feel we should be focusing our development on other features. It was also only used by a small number of users. Most importantly, however, we don’t want you to miss that important meeting or flight!
Fortunately, alarm clocks are available on all smart phones. If you need help with using the alarm on your device, the following links may prove helpful:

In the future, we hope to work with Apple and Google to enable Sounds to integrate better with the alarm clocks built into their operating systems.
On iOS 13.1 and above, you can now use Apple’s Shortcuts app to set your favourite BBC radio station to play via BBC Sounds when you switch off your alarm in the morning. Check out the Can I use the iOS Shortcuts app to wake up to BBC Sounds? page for details on how to set up this shortcut.
