The 2004 event saw an extra night of music added for the first time as well. Michael Eavis obviously enjoys his three-day festivals at Glastonbury, as this year's eclectic line-up also runs over three nights. Speaking to bbc.co.uk/somerset, Michael said: "We had a year off the Glastonbury Festival in 1996 and I got a phone call from the Abbey asking me if I wanted to do something there. So I got hooked in my year off, and I've been doing it ever since. "This is the 10th year we've been doing it for, and it's going to be fantastic."
