Available for booking

Join us for a special recording of BBC Radio 4’s Bookclub with author Kirstin Innes, discussing her acclaimed novel Scabby Queen.

Scabby Queen tells the story of Clio Campbell, a fictional one‑hit‑wonder musician and activist, and the impact she leaves behind after her death.

Please only apply for a ticket if you are able to read Scabby Queen in advance and are willing to take part in the discussion. As places are limited, we kindly ask that those unable to read the book or participate do not sign up. If you are willing to engage in our book club format, and would like to hear more about the novel, its creation, and the ideas behind it, we would be delighted to welcome you.

To attend, please apply for a ticket and submit a question for Kirstin in advance to bookclub@bbc.co.uk

Bookclub is shaped by audience questions, making this a fantastic opportunity to join a lively conversation with presenter James Naughtie and Kirstin Innes.

How to be in the audience

Step 1: Apply for tickets

Tickets for this show are being allocated on a first-come first-served basis, so when we receive your ticket request your details are added to the list of applicants. Tickets are usually dispatched from approximately three weeks ahead of the recording date.

Step 2: Receive a message

All eligible requests are allocated tickets in the order they are received, up to the maximum number of available tickets. If successful, we notify you by text message and send your e-ticket(s) to your email address. If unsuccessful you will be kept on the waiting list in case anyone cancels their tickets.

Step 3: Bring your tickets and ID

We do our best to get the numbers right, but unfortunately we occasionally have to disappoint people. Remember that every guest must bring original approved photo ID.
