New wild cat species discovered

A spotted cat from the forests of Bolivia has been confirmed as a new species.

Scientists have confirmed the discovery of the first new cat species to be identified in a century. The Tilcayo wild cat inhabits the cloud forests of Bolivia. Only one confirmed living member of the species is known but scientists believe others exist. We speak to our environment correspondent and to those whose job it is to research animals that are nearly extinct.
