US launches fresh strikes as Iran closes Strait of Hormuz

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it closed the waterway until further notice

The US said it launched a fresh wave of strikes on Iran after Tehran struck a ship passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

Also on the programme, leaders gathered this week at a NATO summit to discuss European defence and the future of the alliance; and citizens of Canada's Alberta province will vote on a step towards possible independence.
