Israeli allies announce sanctions on West Bank settlements

Britain, France and Canada have announced sanctions on West Bank settlements. The British foreign secretary accused settlers of carrying out the "ethnic cleansing" of Palestinians. Israel has responded by shutting the UK consulate in East Jerusalem.

The Norwegian Refugee Council has highlighted the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Afghanistan.
