
Ethiopia: Peace talks postponed, while fighting intensifies
AU-led peace talks between Ethiopia’s warring factions were due to begin at the weekend in South Africa.
Peace talks between the Ethiopian government and the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF), organised by the African Union and due to be held in South Africa, have been postponed. Meanwhile, the TPLF have called on Tigrayans to join the battle front.
Chad's military ruler Gen Mahamat Déby has been sworn in as the transitional president, extending his stay in power by two years.
And Nigerian Afrobeats superstar CKay has released his first studio album, and says the title - Sad Romance - sums up his own experience.
