Covid: South Africa passes one million infections as cases surge

South Africa is seeing a steady increase in cases driven by the new coronavirus variant.

South Africa has become the first country on the continent to register more than one million Covid-19 cases.

We speak to Liberia’s Finance minister Samuel Tweah as the country has been promised over $48 million of financial assistance from the International Monetary Fund.

And the Central African Republic still held elections even while rebel attacks were ongoing in parts of the country.
