Tear gas fired to disperse protesters in Uganda

Bobi Wine’s supporters are calling for him to be released from police detention.

Teargas and live bullets have been fired in Uganda’s capital, Kampala, to disperse people protesting against the arrest of Ugandan presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine.

Concerns are mounting for civilians living in Ethiopia's Tigray region as the conflict continues and thousands flee to neighbouring Sudan.

To mark Prematurity Day this week, we hear from a Sierra Leonean-born specialist nurse providing supporting staff at the hospital in Koidu City
