Seychelles opposition wins power after 43 years

Anglican priest Wavel Ramkalawan defeated President Danny Faure.

The opposition has taken power in the Seychelles for the first time since 1977, following its victory in the presidential election.

Earlier today, women in Cameroon’s capital Yaoundé took to the streets to protest the killing of children in the on-going war in the country’s Anglophone regions.

Media outlets in Senegal say at least 20 migrants drowned off the country's coast when their boat exploded and sank yesterday.
