Burundi: UN Commission say no progress in improving human rights
The UN Commission have completed their latest report, the UN’s fourth into Burundi
UN investigators have said that while there had been hope for change when President Evariste Ndayishimiye replaced Pierre Nkurunziza in June so far those hopes had not been realised.
Plus, the governor of Nigeria’s north-western Kaduna state, Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai, has signed into law a measure introducing tough penalties for convicted rapists.
