Mali political talks continue

Mali's military junta continue talks with the country's political players to try and find a solution to the current political impasse.

Talks have continued between Mali's military junta and opposition parties to try break a deadlock over a proposed transitional agreement. An Ecowas meeting held yesterday in Ghana could not resolve all the issues.

The latest on an Algeria journalist jailed for his frontline reporting of protests that led to the resignation of long-time President Abdelaziz Bouteflika.
