South Africa records highest rise in Covid-19 cases
The country has recorded 3,720 deaths.
South Africa has recorded its highest-ever single-day increase in Covid-19 cases. The health ministry said there were 13,674 infections in the past 24 hours from the highest number of tests done in a single day in the country.
Nigeria's president, Muhammadu Buhari, has suspended the head of the country’s anti-corruption body, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
