Some African leaders denounce police violence in the US while indulging in it at home

After a weekend in which thousands of demonstrators around the world have taken to the streets to protest against racism, we ask if some African leaders are applying double standards against their own people: speaking out against US Police brutality on one side, while often being themselves the enforcers of violent crackdowns against protest movements in Africa. The Director of the Centre for Democracy and Development, Idayat Hassan, helps us navigate the discussion.
