World Bank approves $500 million fund to fight locusts

The World Bank has today announced a $500 million funding package to the East African countries that have been affected by swarms of locusts. For more details, we hear from David Malpass, the World Bank Group president.

Forces loyal to the Libyan renegade General Khalifa Haftar say they will withdraw up to 3km (1.9 miles) from the front lines around the capital, Tripoli to make it easier for people to move around during the last days of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
