Coronavirus: Ugandan government forces people to pay for their own quarantine
Controversy as government imposes costly, mandatory quarantines on travellers from 'high risk’ areas
There has been controversy in Uganda over the government-sanctioned mandatory quarantines imposed on travellers entering the country from what it deems "high risk" areas. The concern is that they' have been forced to pay expensive hotel fees in accommodation designated by the government for the quarantine.
Also, Guinea's ruling party tells us controversial elections planned for the weekend will be credible, despite a planned internet shutdown just days before it takes place.
