Botswana to hold elephant hunting auctions

Botswana is to hold its first auctions for the right to hunt elephants since lifting a ban last year.

The lifting of the ban has been popular with the local communities, due to human-elephant conflict but criticised by conservationists.

Rwanda’s minister in charge of legal affairs Evode Uwizeyimana has resigned after pushing a female security guard to the ground.
