Why Sepsis cause more death than cancer
And why it is hard to spot
Sepsis happens when the body's immune system goes into overdrive.
The initial problem can be mild, such as a cut on the finger or a chest or urine infection, but can lead to an unintended but catastrophic attack on the body when the immune system overreacts.
Scientists say climate change is responsible for the soaring temperatures and wildfire in Australia and such fires could become more regular and more widespread globally, with Africa in the firing line.
