al-Shabab has claimed responsibility for an attack carried out at a hotel compound on Tuesday night that killed ten people. The gunmen accessed the venue despite it being located in a high-security area near the presidential palace. Abdizirak Mohammed is a Member of the Somali Federal Parliament, and a former Minister of Internal Security, Focus on Africa asked him why this kind of attacks keep happening.
