Gambia offers one million dollars reparation fund for Jammeh's victims

As hearing continues at the ongoing Truth, Reconcialiation and Reparations Commission

The government of Gambia has announced the offer of one million dollars reparation fund to be made available to the Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations Commission to compensate victims of heinous crimes during the 22 years of oppressive rule by former President Yahya Jammeh.

The BBC Africa Eye sent undercover journalists posing as students inside the University of Lagos and the University of Ghana, after gathering dozens of testimonies about sexual abuse.

Female reporters were sexually harassed, propositioned and put under pressure by senior lecturers at the institutions – all the while wearing secret cameras.
