
Malawi hospitals putting women's lives at risk
Over 100 mothers have had their uteruses removed due to medical malpractices
A report by the office of the public protector in Malawi has alleged that medical malpractices are leading to mothers having their uteruses removed during or after childbirth at public hospitals. According to the report, between January and July last year, 160 women had their lives changed forever, when they had to have hysterectomies, which means they can't bear children ever again.
