A protest by Sierra Leone’s main opposition APC party has ended in violence. We hear more from Freetown where the supporters have been gathering against what they describe as unfair treatment from the government, as well as abuse of power.
In South Sudan the UN Security Council has extended an arms embargo against the government of President Salva Kiir.
And in Guinea, the Prime Minister has announced that his cabinet is in favour of a proposed referendum that could lead to an amendment of the country's constitution.
