Kenya suspends coal project in Lamu

An Environmental Tribunal in Nairobi has halted plans to build a coal-powered plant on the World Heritage Site of Lamu in Kenya, citing a failure of authorities to do a thorough assessment of its environmental impact. It comes a week after protesters demonstrated against the plans.
