Prime Minister resigns over Mali violence

The Prime Minister of Mali Soumeylou Boubeye Maiga and his entire government have resigned, following an upsurge of violence in the country;

In South Africa, at least 13 people have been killed and 16 injured, following the collapse of a section of a church building in the coastal province of KwaZulu-Natal.
