The World Health Organization (WHO) has decided the Ebola outbreak in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, which has killed about 1,400 people, is not an international public health emergency.

Sudan's Transitional Military Council has admitted ordering the break-up of a pro-democracy camp outside the army headquarters in the capital on
3 June but denies allegations the militia raped women, men and children.
