
Ugandan MP Bobi Wine to face court martial

People in Arua, Northern Uganda have finished voting in a tense by-election. The campaign has brought the opposition MP and musician Bobi Wine into direct conflict with President Yoweri Museveni. On Monday Bobi Wine's driver was shot dead in Arua and he is now under arrest + In Sudan a boat carrying schoolchildren capsized this morning. Twenty four people are known to have drowned most of them children between the ages of 7 and 16. We hear from the headmaster of one of the schools the pupils attended + Turkey's Lira has lost 40 % of its value and the distress could spread to other emerging economies
