Trainee lawyer turned karate world champion
Kidderminster's Paulina Makazlieva took on competitors from around the world, bringing home two golds and a silver medal.
Alongside her studies at the University of Worcester, the 19-year-old is doing legal training at SM Lawson Solicitors in Kidderminster, whilst spending time training at Young Gloves Karate Club based at Franche School.
Lina tells Trevor Owens how she first took up the sport to cope with being bullied at her school, whilst she knew she wanted to make it in the sport was when someone told her that 'she has potential'. She also pays tribute to her late father.
