Redditch killer 'obsessed by Dexter'

20-year-old Benjamin Day has pleaded guilty to the murder of a sex worker.

The trial was told that he was arrested whilst wearing a khaki shirt after inflicting 78 knife wounds on Maria Saceanu, before beginning to dismember her body.

Prosecutors said Day spent hours preparing a so-called 'kill room' inside a rented property, lined with plastic, mimicking scenes from US TV serial killer drama Dexter.
