Volunteer Award Winner: Charlotte Blanchard

Charlotte Blanchard from Bournemouth won the Volunteer Award in BBC Radio Solent's Make a Difference Awards for 2026.

Charlotte started the Space Youth Project in 2001 - a Dorset based LGBT+ group to support young people. Twenty-five years later and Charlotte continues to support young people, volunteering thousands of hours through her youth work, she has secured funding for the charity as a dedicated co-chair of the board of trustees.
