'The Odyssey': How an Ancient Greek Epic Poem Became 2026's Most Anticipated Film

It's an ancient Greek poem that's been transformed into what could be the biggest film of 2026.
'The Odyssey', by Christopher Nolan, had its world premiere in London this week.
Some screenings of the film have sold out a year in advance, helped by Nolan's reputation as one of the world's greatest directors, and a stellar cast that includes Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson and Lupita Nyong'o.
As Tom Brook reports for BBC Talking Movies, the film's release has also provoked controversy over its casting, as well as excitement in academic circles.
