Proving I'm British
Cristina is about to take her 'Life in the UK Test', the mandatory exam for most people applying for British citizenship or Indefinite Leave to Remain. Originally from the Philippines, she has lived in the UK for 18 years. Although she is not legally required to take the test, she feels the political climate is becoming increasingly uncertain and wants to do everything she can to secure her future in the country she now calls home. The BBC has approached the Home Office for comment on the structure and purpose of the test.
BBC Radio Shrophire's Johnty O'Donnell joined Cristina during some last minute revision.
