‘Real change’ must come from our Luton baby loss
A couple whose baby was stillborn after mistakes during labour at Luton & Dunstable Hospital say they want to see “real change” in the care of mums and babies.
Lauryn and Andrew McCready’s daughter Lois died in September 2023, which a later investigation found was preventable.
They have now given evidence to the Amos Investigation, a national review of maternity care, in the hope it drives improvement so that other families do not endure what they went through.
Charlotte Rose has been hearing their story.
