Chernobyl radiation detected by Pontefract school
Tom Bootyman was a science teacher at Ackworth School in 1986, when the Chernobyl disaster happened.
He and his colleague Grenville Needham decided to monitor the radiation levels around the school and discovered some alarming results, particularly following a rainstorm. Tom spoke to Gayle Lofthouse about his experience at the time.
