Brit Award winning singer-songwriter Myles Smith gives Vernon Kay an in-depth look at ten songs that soundtrack his life so far, including Labrinth, Coldplay, Green Day, and his mentor and friend Ed Sheeran.
As part of his ten tracks, Myles explains how going to church with Grandma, alongside his Mum’s efforts to improve his vocabulary, inspired his early love of songwriting and music. He talks of his dedication to performing live, playing in pubs from age 11, and writing songs every day wherever he might be, including his billion-streaming song ‘Stargazing’ and debut album ‘My Mess, My Heart, My Life’.
Born in 1998 in Luton, Myles grew up listening to church music, Motown and R&B, starting to play music at school during his lunch breaks. In 2022 his TikTok videos were spotted by music manager Eric Parker, and he released the global hit Stargazing in 2024. In 2025 he was nominated for three Brit Awards, winning the Rising Star Award. He has played live across the world and has his own headline arena tour in autumn 2026.
