Southend flight was 'too heavy'

Six passengers were asked to leave a flight at London Southend Airport before it had taken off, because the aircraft was deemed to be too heavy. The Easyjet plane was scheduled to leave Essex for Malaga, but couldn't until it had been made lighter...

In a statement, Easyjet said: “The customers were provided with transport and a later flight to Malaga on the same day, free of charge, from London Gatwick".
