The Haworth Highwayman

Adam Sargent tells the tale of James Sutcliffe, who is said to still haunt the local pub.

James Sutcliffe, otherwise known as The Haworth Highwayman was an 18th century highwayman. He was eventually arrested, found guilty and hanged for his crimes. His body was recovered and returned to Haworth where he was buried in a near unmarked grave. Adam Sargant who runs ghost walks in the town talks to Gayle Lofthouse.
