Bowen comes to the rescue at Edgar Street
The Leominster-born West Ham captain and England international first played for The Bulls aged 17. He is now contributing to the costs of his old club's new drainage system.
Bowen has come a long way since his Hereford United debut in 2014. In the same season he scored a goal that helped the side keep their place in the National League. His uncle remains the club's groundsperson.
Hereford FC chair Chris Ammonds tells Malcolm Boyden how the established Premier League player was keen to help out and create a long-term solution to the club's playing surface woes following an incredibly wet winter.
