Oscar winner 'All the Empty Rooms' Pays Tribute to US School Shooting Victims
The winner of the 2026 Oscar for Best Documentary Short film has one simple yet powerful idea: to ask the parents of children who'd died in school shootings in America to show their empty bedrooms.
The result is All the Empty Rooms, directed by Joshua Seftel. It follows a veteran CBS Reporter, Steve Hartman, and photographer Lou Bopp, as they travel across the United States to memorialise the bedrooms of some of those who were victims of school gun violence.
