Car hits several people on busy city centre street

Detectives have been given more time to question a man who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a car hit a number of people on a busy city centre street.

Seven people were taken to hospital following the incident at around 21:30 on Saturday, March 28.

A 36-year-old Derby man, originally from India, was arrested by police on the other side of the city minutes later.
