Shropshire's high-tech birdsong research
AI and wireless monitoring technology has been used to detect rare birds in Shropshire. As part of the Green Box Project, acoustic sensors were placed in a range of habitats to capture birdsong, and artificial intelligence was then used to identify them. BBC Radio Shropshire’s Adam Green spoke to data scientist Dr Joseph Mhango from Harper Adams University about the project.
