95,000 cars taken off Leicester's roads every day
Drivers in Leicester are leaving their cars at home in favour of walking and cycling according to an environmental charity.
The Walk Wheel Cycle Trust (formerly known as Sustrans) said that, according to their new data, 95,000 cars are taken off Leicester's roads every day by people who own a car but choose to walk or cycle instead.
The figures were announced at a special launch event in the city – attended by cycling royalty!
