“My flabber has never been so gasted”
A cardboard box found in a deceased collector's estate contained two lost episodes of Doctor Who that have not been viewed since airing in the 1960s.
It was a huge surprise that left Dr Who actor Peter Purves, 87, tearing up when he learned the news and watched the episodes in Leicester’s Phoenix Cinema a few days ago.
It’s all thanks to the Leicester charitable trust Film is Fabulous! (FIF). Chair of Trustees, Professor Justin Smith, spoke to the BBC after the event.
